Google Hacks For Drive, Docs, and more!
I've got some awesome new Google hacks for you all. Lets dive in!
This one has been around awhile, but is still a staple in my Chrome extensions. Simply add the extension to your Chrome browser. Once installed, click on the extension to create a new Google file (Doc, Sheet, Slide, Form, Drawing). Be sure to purposely name your file, so you can search for it later.
Use the Omnibox for More!
You can now type more commands into Chrome's Omnibox (where you type web addresses). Type "new.doc", hit enter, and a new Google Doc is created! You can also do this for a Google Sheet, and a Google Slide. See this article for more in-depth information.
That's not all! Chrome's Omnibox can now be used to search for recently opened Google Drive files. Just type the name of the file in the Omnibox, and choose from the dropdown list. This saves a lot of time since you don't have to search within Drive! See the GIF below to see how fast it is:
The Sir Links-a-Lot extension allows Chrome users to quickly share Google files with added options such as forcing the recipient to "make a copy". You can also turn any Google file into a Template or a PDF.
